What percentage of profit is typically included in a wholesale food product?

linkus86 asked: I know each individual product is different, but am wondering if there is an average marke-up. Lets just say for arguments sake, how much more would a maker of mayo charge on top of their true cost to produce, to the wholesale company/distributor, or to the grocery?
