How much below retail is a wholesale price?

I am a home jeweler,and am about to have a showing at a retail store.They asked if I would wholesale.How much of a percentage below retail is wholesale?Any Shop keepers out there?

    Your best bet is not to go wholesale but do this on a commission basis with them. Wholesale usually is 33 to 50% of retail price. You should triple at the least your cost for the product, however, you don’t need to tell anyone what your actual costs are. Be ready with figure in case this is asked. Most jewelery stores will do commission at 20% of your charge. So you want $100.00 they will charge 120.00. Any other questions would be glad to help. If your pieces are one of a kind your price also goes up, wholesale or not. Good luck from fellow jeweler.
